Features
Everything a file-sharing app should be.
DropWave was designed around one idea: moving a file to the person next to you should be instant, private and free.
Sonar discovery
Nearby devices surface on a live radar. Tap one to connect — no pairing menus, no setup.
Blazing fast
Direct device-to-device Wi-Fi reaches speeds far beyond Bluetooth — a full movie in under a minute.
End-to-end encrypted
Every transfer is encrypted in transit. Files travel straight between the two devices — never through us.
Works offline
No internet, no mobile data, no router required. Perfect for flights, trips and dead zones.
Any file, any size
Photos, 4K videos, music, APKs, archives, documents — send one file or a hundred in a single wave.
Transfer log
A clean history of everything sent and received, with totals — stored only on your device.
Private by design
No account, no sign-up, no ads, no trackers, no analytics SDKs. Your files are your business.
Free forever
DropWave is an independent, community-spirited project. No paywalls, no premium tier, no catches.
