The short version: DropWave does not collect, store, sell or share your personal data. Files move directly between your device and the receiving device. We run no servers, require no account, and include no ads, analytics or tracking of any kind.

01Who we are

DropWave ("the app") is a free peer-to-peer file-sharing application published by an independent developer ("we", "us"). It is not owned by or affiliated with any company. For anything in this policy, contact fireflexdevelopers@gmail.com.

02Data we collect

None. DropWave has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no backend servers. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to your name, email address, contacts, location history, files, or usage behaviour. We cannot see what you transfer, to whom, or when.

03How transfers work

Files are sent over a direct, local wireless connection (such as Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct or a local hotspot) between the sending and receiving device. Transfers are encrypted in transit and are never routed through the internet or any server operated by us or a third party.

04Data stored on your device only

The app keeps a small amount of data locally, under your control:

• Your chosen device name and app settings;
• A transfer log (device names, file counts, sizes and timestamps);
• Files you have received, saved to your device's storage.

This data never leaves your device. You can clear the transfer log in the app's settings and delete received files at any time. Uninstalling the app removes its settings and log.

05Permissions the app uses

Android requires certain permissions for local device-to-device sharing. DropWave requests only what the feature needs:

Every permission can be revoked in Android settings; related features simply stop working.

06Third parties, ads and analytics

DropWave contains no advertising, no analytics SDKs, no crash-reporting services and no third-party trackers. We do not sell, rent, or share any data with anyone — we have none to share.

07Children's privacy

DropWave is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since the app collects no data at all, no child's data can be gathered by us.

08Security

Transfers are encrypted in transit between devices. Only accept incoming transfers from people you know; you are always shown the sending device before a transfer begins, and you can decline it.

09Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes in a way that affects privacy, this page will be updated and the "Effective" date above revised before the change ships. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
